Cadet College Kallar Kahar is located on road Chakwal - Khushab - Sargodha, about 8 km from the famous Kallar Kahar lake. This is the place that Zaheer Ud Din Muhammad Babar, the founder of the Mughal Dynasty in the Sub Continent camped while on his way to invade the Sub Continent and called this place "Little Kashmir" due to its scenic beauty. It comprises great panoramic scenery and a healthy and natural atmosphere. There are many big playgrounds and mountains within the premises of the college.
The college was founded by Lt. Gen (R) Nazar Hussain. HI(M), T Bt. in 1997 with only one building which used to serve as a multipurpose building for academics, hostel, mess, common room and for administration. Now it has separate buildings for all purposes.
The college is spread over 150 acres (0.61 km2) of land on a plateau. The average height is about 3,000 feet (910 m) above sea level. It is an open countryside with scenic panoramic view, free of pollution. It has a big C-shaped double-storied academic block. It has four cadet hostels with eight residential wings for cadets and one hostel for teachers. The dormitories are commodious and equipped with basic luxuries. Each cadet wing has its own common room with a music system, television set and other accessories.
The College has fully developed infrastructures for boarding, lodging and providing modern education up to 650 boys at a time. We have well equipped laboratories, Cadet Hostel, class rooms, cadet mess, College mosque and other allied infrastructures, Comparable to any other Cadet College.
The college possesses sports grounds of Cricket, football, Handball, Rugby, Basketball, Volleyball and courts for indoor games such as Chess and Table tennis. The college has a swimming pool where water sports are conducted.
The college has its own riding school with 20 horses and four professional trainers.
The college has a uniquely and magnificently designed cadets mosque and two spacious cadets messes. It has a barber shop, cadets library, college water dam, science block, examination block and a well equipped computer lab.
The college now includes a dairy farm to ensure the provision of fresh milk without any contamination to the cadets. This initiative has been taken to maintain the hygiene balance and healthy nutrition of cadets and sustain an eco-friendly environment.
The students of the College are a ‘Trust’, an ‘Amanat’. Led by the CE, the staff at the College considers it sacred duty to give highest priority to the needs of students. There is no harassment or bullying. The College is a home, away from home.
